De-activating a License

Licenses activated to an instance of Master Patch can be de-activated as required. This allows a LUCA license to be used flexibly across a range of use cases, such as a busy working inventory or devices in a rental company.

Deactivation

Master Patch is able to release the license back to the user account, whereupon it can be activated to a different device.

info

De-activating a license requires an active internet connection

To release the license, first open the license window, which can be found in the File Menu, and click ‘Deactivate’.

As with the activation process a good internet connection will release the license quickly and Master Patch will give feedback as to any issues encountered in the process.

In the same way as activation, releasing of a license can fail, if this happens it is very likely to be the internet connection being used when trying to deactivate. Either verify the quality of the connection, or connect to different network and retry the deactivation process.

Flying drink doused your machine? Surprise sandstorm interrupted soundcheck?

We know that there may be a time where access to a license is lost due to the damage or loss of equipment. If this happens please contact Vampire Squid Support and explain your situation.
