The user interface is made up of the following components:

stageViewerUIOverview

  1. Current Page name
  2. Now/Next block
  3. Time of day clock
  4. Event Clock button
  5. Connection status indicator
  6. Navigation bar
  7. Messaging page button

Current Page name

The current page name section will update dependant on the page that the user has navigated to.

Now/Next block

The now/next block will show what is happening now, and what is happening next according to the data within the LUCA server, this section is mirrored from Master Patch and shows the same information.

Time of day clock

The time of day clock shows the time of day, which is separate from the event clock.

info

The time of day clock is taken from the local machine clock, not from Master Patch, therefore if the time set on the Stage Viewer machine is not the same as other machines on the network, it will show a different time of day.

Event Clock Button

The event clock button shows the time until the next 'moment', it is also a button that will open the pop out Clock Window. This popout clock window can then be repositioned for example onto an external display.

note

Examples of 'moments' are acts starting or finishing, or the start or end of a day.

Connection status indicator

The connection status indicator changes colour according to the connection status of Stage Viewer.

If the indicator is Green 🟢 it means that Stage Viewer is currently connected to the LUCA server.

If the indicator is Red 🔴 it means that Stage Viewer does not have an active connection to a LUCA server.

The navigation bar is used to navigate to the various pages of the application, these pages are:

  • Running Order (Home)
  • Act Overview
  • Preferences

Messaging Page Button

When clicked, the messaging page button will open the messaging window.

In additional, this button also shows previews of the last received messages as well as the total number of unread messages in the system.
